ZiP-HIV-RT Beads
Tube of 100 beads.
Reverse transcriptases (RT) are enzymes used by retroviruses to generate complementary DNA (cDNA) from an RNA template (reverse transcription) to replicate their genomes.
ZiP-HIV-RT (originating from the Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is active as a heterodimer consisting of two polypeptide subunits p66 (the catalytically active structure) and p51 (derived from a proteolytic processing of p66 that serves to stabilise the dimer). ZiP-HIV-RT is suitable for rapid reverse transcription of RNA at elevated temperatures employed in most isothermal DNA amplification assays.
