TTRA Funding Announcement!

ZiP Diagnostics is very proud to be a recipient of funding under the MTPConnect TTRA program, to develop a point-of-care test for preeclampsia.

Preeclampsia is a serious cardiovascular disorder of pregnancy characterised by high blood pressure. It threatens maternal and fetal health through complications including poor fetal growth, preterm birth and stillbirth. Our team (pictured) is developing a low-cost, rapid point-of-care test to aid in early prediction and diagnosis of preeclampsia. This test is specifically designed for community-based maternal care settings, helping to protect the health of women and babies during pregnancy and throughout their lives.

We are looking forward to working with our partners Shaun Brennecke (Royal Women’s Hospital) and Holger Unger (Menzies School of Health Research) on this important project.
