ZiP-RPA assay kit contains lyophilised beads for recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA) and reaction buffers. The kit contains beads and buffers for 100 reactions. Beads come separated into an RPA polymerase bead, a dNTP bead and a reagents bead. The three beads are combined in a tube, together with primers provided by the user, to form a single RPA reaction.
There is also the option to add reverse-transcriptase beads, available separately, for detection of RNA.
